Daisy
Daisy brought Korean rice cakes inspired by her grandmother. Growing up in L.A., Daisy’s grandma came to live with her family during her childhood. One day coming home from school, Daisy’s grandmother had removed all the flowers from their garden in order to plant food that was edible. Her grandmother didn’t understand why anyone would grow something they could not eat. A survivor of Japanese occupation and the Korean War, Daisy’s grandmother was a fierce woman who persevered through many hardships.
